Aslan engine issues
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Hyundai Aslan is experiencing engine issues, including a check engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power. The suspected cause is a defective high-pressure fuel pump, which can lead to a malfunctioning fuel volume regulator. Confirmation from a workshop revealed that the high-pressure fuel pump was indeed faulty, and the issue was resolved with a repair.

Thank you for your response. The fuel efficiency has decreased noticeably, yes. As for strange noises, I haven't detected anything unusual. If it was indeed your fuel regulator, what was the final resolution?

Yep, sounds like it. I had the exact same symptoms. The workshop diagnosed a defective high-pressure fuel pump. I'd get it checked out ASAP. Continuing to drive with that issue can damage other components, leading to a bigger repair bill.

Understood. I appreciate the confirmation. The workshop confirmed your suspicion - the high-pressure fuel pump was faulty, causing the fuel regulator to malfunction. The repair cost 1510€. Thank you again for your help!

Hey, I've got an Aslan too! Sounds like the fuel regulator issue I had. Is your fuel economy also in the toilet? It could be the high-pressure fuel pump, like you said. Are you hearing any weird noises from the engine bay?
