Aslan Immobilizer Problem
Summary of the thread
The issue with the 2016 Hyundai Aslan was that it cranked but wouldn't start, and sometimes started briefly before dying, with an error stored in the memory. The problem was suspected to be related to the immobilizer, as indicated by the security light being on. The solution was to have the key reprogrammed at a workshop, which resolved the issue.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, the security light is on. What was the issue with your Opel?

Turned out the key programming was somehow corrupted. I would suggest you visit a workshop, maybe they can reprogram the key.

Thanks for the hint. Indeed, the key programming was incorrect. The workshop reprogrammed the key and now it works. Cost me 45€.

Sounds like an immobilizer fault. I had a similar problem with my old Opel a few years back. The security light was flashing like crazy. Does your security light behave unusually?
