Aslan Oil Level Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around an oil level sensor fault in a 2014 Hyundai Aslan, indicated by an error message and oil pressure warning. The issue is suspected to be caused by a faulty cable or plug connected to the oil level sensor. A similar past experience suggests that checking the wiring for damage is a potential solution. Ultimately, a professional mechanic confirmed the problem was due to a defective cable, which was repaired.

Thanks! I checked quickly, but didn't see anything obvious. Were you able to fix it yourself, or did you need a professional?

I messed around with the Volvo, checking connections, but automotive electrics are beyond me. I took it to a workshop. Probably your best bet. Will save you a headache!

Thanks for the advice. My local mechanic confirmed the cable to the sensor was defective. The repair was 95€. Thanks again!

Hey! I had something similar with my old Volvo V70. Same symptoms: oil light, error codes… Drove me nuts! Definitely sounds like a sensor or wiring issue. Any visual damage to the wires near the sensor?
