Aslan Outside Temp Sensor Issue

Hey, I've got a 2017 Hyundai Aslan (gasoline engine) with a weird issue at 90k km. Error memory shows a faulty outside temp sensor. AC won't kick on, spray nozzles freeze up easily, and mirror heating is dead. Could it be a bad connection somewhere?

Summary of the thread

A 2017 Hyundai Aslan with 90,000 km is experiencing issues with the outside temperature sensor, affecting the AC, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The problem is suspected to be a bad connection. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by addressing a faulty plug connection, which was confirmed as the cause in this case as well. The solution involved repairing the plug connection, costing 95€.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had similar symptoms in my old Opel Astra. The outside temperature was reading way off, and it messed with the climate control. Have you checked the sensor wiring for any damage or corrosion?

Wiring looks okay at a glance. Where was the problem in your Astra, exactly?

In my Astra, it was indeed a faulty plug connection. It's best to get it properly checked by a workshop. A defective cable can cause considerable consequential damage.

Thanks, I'll do that. It turned out to be a bad plug, just like you said. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted.
