Astra AdBlue System Error

I have a 2015 Vauxhall Astra diesel. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, and the error memory confirms an issue. The engine won't start. I've checked and the AdBlue tank is empty. I suspect the Ad-Blue output from the tank to the dosing unit might be defective, causing the system to think it's always empty. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sounds like a DEF fluid delivery problem. Is the dashboard alert persistent, even after refilling the AdBlue? If so, there may well be a fault within the emission control system. Was there any noticeable change in engine performance before this happened?

Yes, the dashboard alert remains even after I added more DEF fluid. Engine performance seemed normal leading up to this. Is it likely a sensor issue or something more mechanical in the AdBlue delivery system?

Given the symptoms and that the tank is actually full, a faulty pump or injector is probable. However, diagnosing those faults requires specialist tools. Best to get it checked out by a workshop.

Thanks for the confirmation. I took it to a workshop, and the issue was indeed a defective AdBlue pump. The repair cost 250€. All sorted now.
