Astra Air Suspension Fault

My 2016 Vauxhall Astra diesel's air suspension seems to have failed at 129274 km. It won't lift, leans to one side, shows an error in the speedometer, and has a warning light. The low beams are off, shining too high or low. Error memory shows an air suspension fault. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection to the compressor. Has anyone had this?

I had a similar experience with my Astra, same symptoms. The error message and leaning were the first things I noticed. Have you checked for air leaks? Did you test the compressor relay?

Thanks for the quick reply. I appreciate it. I did a quick visual check for leaks but saw nothing. I was going to check the electrics next. Was your issue a faulty compressor cable or connection, or something else? I want to understand the source before I take it to a workshop.

The garage said it was a faulty connection, causing the compressor to fail intermittently before packing in. Given your symptoms, I recommend a workshop. They can pinpoint the fault and provide a more accurate diagnosis.

Thanks. After checking the connections, I took it to a workshop, as you advised. It was a faulty connection to the compressor, which they fixed for 95€. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
