Yeah, the indicators flash when locking. I think it might be related. What did you end up doing?

That's exactly what was happening with mine! Apparently, the alarm system was coded to activate the optical locking, which caused the fault. I ended up taking it to a workshop to get it sorted out. It's probably the best thing to do rather than messing with it yourself.

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local garage, and you were spot on - the alarm was coded wrong. They recoded it, and it cost me 45€. All sorted now!

I also own an Astra, and a similar thing happened to me last year. Have you noticed if your indicators flash when you lock the car? Does the car make noise?
