Astra Automatic Transmission Problems

My 2015 Vauxhall Astra diesel with 247813 km is having automatic transmission issues. Shifting is behaving strangely, the transmission light is on, and gear changes aren't smooth. Sometimes it's stuck in emergency mode. Could it be undervoltage or something else?

Sounds familiar. My old Volvo had similar symptoms. Were there any warning lights before the transmission problems?

No warning lights before. What was the solution with your Volvo?

Low battery voltage was affecting the transmission control module. A new battery helped briefly, but the alternator was faulty. Get the electrical system checked. My Astra repair cost 240€. Can you get to a workshop?

I had a technician inspect it. The transmission oil was worn out. Replacing it fixed everything. Your experience helped a lot.
