Astra Climate Control Failure

Climate control panel is dead on my 2023 Vauxhall Astra hybrid. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, heating output is too low and the air conditioning system refuses to switch on. Anyone seen this before? I suspect it's a dodgy connection somewhere.

Sounds familiar! I had something similar happen in my Astra. Have you checked the power supply to the control panel itself? Could be a loose plug or a chafed wire. Do you have access to the diagnostic codes, that would help a lot.

Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't dug that deep yet, tbh. Where exactly is the control panel power supply located? I can get the codes read at a local shop, but want to avoid taking it in if it's a simple fix. And what codes did you get?

On mine it was behind the glove box. I was hoping for a quick fix too, but ended up needing a shop to sort it out. I don't recall the specific codes, but they related to HVAC CAN bus communication errors. Best bet is to get your codes read and see if they match up, but be prepared to visit a workshop.

Appreciate the insight! You were right, got the codes read and it pointed to a defective cable/plug. Workshop confirmed, and got it sorted for 95€. Cheers!
