Astra Diesel check engine light and power loss

I own a 2016 Vauxhall Astra diesel with 62359 km. The check engine light is on, and I'm experiencing reduced engine power, poor engine response, and higher fuel consumption. I suspect a boost pressure control fault. Could a defect in the vacuum switching valve be the culprit, potentially causing a pressure drop?

I had something similar happen in my Astra! Check engine light, felt like I was driving through treacle, the whole shebang. Was your fuel consumption noticeably worse? Did you check the bypass valve or the pressure sensor?

Yes, fuel consumption has increased. I haven't checked those components yet. Were your symptoms exactly the same, and what was the fix?

Identical symptoms! Honestly, I tried a few things myself, but in the end, it was a faulty vacuum switching valve. Saved myself a headache and took it to a workshop. Cost me around 140€. If you're not confident, I'd suggest doing the same.

Thanks for the confirmation. I'll take it to a workshop to have the vacuum switching valve checked. The repair cost you mentioned is helpful. The final bill was 140€ indeed.
