Astra Electric blower motor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall Astra Electric is experiencing a blower motor issue, suspected to be linked to the AUC sensor or possibly a faulty climate control or air conditioning sensor. A similar problem in another vehicle was caused by a bad cabin air sensor affecting the climate control system. It is suggested to check the cable or plug connection of the component, but if not comfortable with technical tasks, consulting a mechanic is recommended.

Interesting! When you say check the cable or plug, is that something I can easily do myself? I'm not super technical, but I can usually manage basic stuff. Any tips on where to find the AUC sensor?

Honestly, on the BMW, it was a pain to get to. Plus, fiddling with those connections can sometimes make things worse. If you're not comfortable, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. Cost me about 95€ to get fixed.

Thanks so much for the advice! I think I'll take your suggestion and book it in with a mechanic. At least now I have an idea of what they'll be looking at and a rough idea of the cost. I'll let you know how it goes!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old BMW a while back. The cabin air sensor went bad, and it messed with the whole climate control system. Might be worth checking the cable or plug connection of the component.
