Undervoltage, huh? That's interesting. I haven't specifically checked the voltage, but I haven't noticed any issues starting the car or anything like that. Where exactly should I be looking to check for this undervoltage issue? Is it something I can do myself with a multimeter, or am I better off taking it to a workshop?

Indeed. It's often not obvious like a dead battery. Think of it as a slow leak in a tire, not a blowout. While you could check with a multimeter, you'd likely be better off getting it professionally diagnosed. In my case, the error disappeared after a workshop visit. Likely a control unit issue caused by low voltage. They can pinpoint it properly with the right equipment.

Thanks for the advice! I booked it in with a local garage, and you were spot on. They confirmed it was an undervoltage issue causing the fault memory lock. Cost me 240€ for them to sort it out. Appreciate the help!

I also have an Astra (not the electric one, but still). Sounds like the error might be due to undervoltage. It’s like when your phone acts weird when the battery is super low. Have you checked the battery voltage? Maybe get your ECU diagnostics checked?
