Astra Electric Seat Failure

Passenger electric seat not working on my 2016 Vauxhall Astra gasoline. Error memory shows a fault, and seat adjustment isn't possible. It has 102741 km. Could a heavily discharged or defective battery be the cause? Had issues starting up recently. Anyone experienced this?

I had a similar issue with my Astra. Have you checked the seat harness and the power supply to the seat switch? A loose connection there can cause those symptoms.

Check the harness under the seat itself; it's clipped to the seat frame. Given the symptoms, I'd suggest consulting a workshop. Best to get a professional to check the electrics rather than doing it yourself.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a local garage as you suggested. They found a faulty connection within the seat harness caused by corrosion. Repair cost was 290€. Seat's working perfectly now.
