Thanks for the quick reply! Intake manifold, you say? I haven’t checked that specifically. Where exactly should I be looking for these vacuum leaks? As for the error codes, yes, I did pull them. I need to check them again. But would you really expect a defective injection valve / injector?

Yes, a defective injector definitely aligns with your description. However, without knowing the exact error codes, it's tough to pinpoint the root cause with certainty. My experience led me to a similar conclusion, but ultimately, diagnosing fuel injection issues often requires specialized equipment. Given your symptoms and concerns, it might be best to consult a trusted workshop. They'll be able to perform comprehensive tests and pinpoint the exact problem, rather than chasing potential causes.

I think it's time to admit defeat. I took it to the shop, and you won't believe it: faulty injector, just like I feared! A new injector set me back 515€, but the car is finally running smoothly again. Thanks for confirming my suspicions and nudging me towards professional help!

I know this frustration all too well. I had a similar problem with my Astra – though I'm driving an older model. The symptoms you describe mirror my experience: the rough running, the check engine light, the power loss. Have you checked the intake manifold for any leaks? A vacuum leak there could definitely cause a lean mixture. Did you read out the error codes, and if so, can you share the precise error messages?
