Astra GPS Antenna Failure

Interesting thought! I do have a dashcam, but it's been there for ages. Could it really be the culprit all of a sudden? I'm not seeing anything else out of the ordinary. How did you solve your GPS drama? Did you just chuck a new antenna in there?

Yep, I'd bet a shiny lug nut it's the antenna. That's exactly what happened to mine – after eliminating all other possibilities! Basically, they do degrade or go bad. My suggestion is to visit the workshop. They should be able to check if it's the antenna and replace it for around 200€. It’s like when your phone loses signal; sometimes the antenna just gives up the ghost. Trust me, chasing ghosts in the wiring is a nightmare!

Awesome, thanks for the tip! I'll get the antenna checked out. I took it to the workshop. Turns out the GPS antenna was indeed defective. Replaced it, and everything's back to normal. Cost me around 200€ as you predicted. Cheers for the help!

Whoa, hold your horses! I had a similar GPS meltdown in my Astra. Sounds like your antenna's throwing a digital hissy fit. Any chance you've got something interfering with the signal, like a dashcam that's gone rogue or some aftermarket gizmo messing with the car's brain? What are you seeing besides the error message?
