Astra Hybrid check engine light and power loss

I'm having a nightmare with my 2022 Vauxhall Astra Hybrid. The check engine light keeps popping on, and the car feels like it's lost power. I'm filling up the tank way more often than usual. I've clocked about 158469 km. Any ideas? I'm thinking it might be something to do with the exhaust, especially with the higher fuel consumption. Exhaust temperature sensor maybe? Anyone else had this?

I have the same Astra model, and your symptoms sound similar to an issue I encountered. It turned out to be a faulty exhaust temperature sensor. Have you noticed any unusual smells or noises coming from the exhaust system?

No unusual smells or noises that I've noticed, but where exactly is the exhaust temperature sensor located? And is it something I could potentially check myself, or am I better off just taking it to a garage?

Given the potential impact on emission control and engine management, a professional diagnosis is advisable. A leak in the exhaust system is the likely cause. This ensures accurate readings from the exhaust sensor.

Thanks a lot for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on – faulty exhaust temperature sensor and a small leak. Repair cost me 265€. Now it runs like new again!
