Astra Hybrid Engine Mount Error
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall Astra hybrid with nearly 200,000 km is experiencing uneven idling and an engine mount error. The issue may stem from a suspect cable or plug connection, as well as potential wear on the mounting bracket. A similar case suggested checking the bracket for wear, which might not be immediately visible. Ultimately, the problem was resolved by repairing a defective cable.

Thanks for the tip! Did your error message specifically point to the engine mount, or was it more generic? And was the bracket wear obvious?

Yes, the error was pretty specific about the engine mount. The wear on the bracket wasn't immediately obvious, but on closer inspection, it was definitely cracked. I would take it to a workshop to get a professional opinion.

Appreciate the advice! I'll get it booked in. Turns out the cable was indeed defective, repair cost me 95€. Thanks again!

I had a similar issue with my Astra, though it was a few years older. Engine mount error and rough idling. Check the mounting bracket for wear, as that can also cause problems even if the cable looks okay.
