Astra Hybrid Engine Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Vauxhall Astra hybrid is experiencing engine problems, including an illuminated engine light, stalling at idle, and reduced power. The suspected causes are a faulty fuel volume regulator and a problematic high-pressure pump. After taking the car to a workshop, it was confirmed that the high-pressure pump was indeed the issue, leading to necessary repairs.

No unusual noises. Just rough idling and the occasional stall. Did you find out what was wrong with your Volvo?

Indeed. After diagnostics, it turned out to be a defective high-pressure fuel pump causing issues with the fuel regulation. Given the symptoms and your suspicion, I would advise getting it checked at a workshop; it could save you time and prevent further damage.

Thanks. Took it to the shop, and you were right – fuel volume regulator. High pressure pump was the culprit. Cost me 1510€ to fix.

I had similar issues with my Volvo V60 a while back. Check engine light, engine misfire, and reduced power were the main symptoms. Did you notice any unusual noises coming from the engine bay?
