Astra immobilizer fault

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2023 Vauxhall Astra Electric. It's got about 60999 km on the clock. Basically, the engine won't start. Sometimes it starts for a second and then dies immediately. The error memory shows an immobilizer fault. I've tried the spare key, same thing. I'm thinking it might be a security issue, like the key programming went bad? Any thoughts? It's like the car thinks I'm trying to steal it!

Sounds like the immobilizer. Is the security light flashing? Could be a key programming issue, or a fault in the immobilizer system itself.

Yeah, the security light is flashing! So, if it's the key programming, is that something I can fix myself, or am I looking at a trip to the workshop? Is there some kind of immobilizer bypass I could try?

Best to get it checked. Incorrect key programming is likely. A workshop can reprogram the key; attempting a bypass could cause more damage.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a local shop; turns out the key needed reprogramming. Cost me 45€, but at least it's fixed! Appreciate the help!
