Astra MAF Sensor Failure

Having trouble with my 2022 Vauxhall Astra diesel. At 210489 km, it's showing higher fuel consumption, engine stalls at idle, check engine light, and smoke when accelerating. Diagnostics point to a bad MAF meter. Is this a common issue?

I had similar symptoms on my Astra. Check your air intake and filter first. Could be a simple blockage making the MAF read wrong. Is performance down too?

Air filter and intake look clean. Performance is down. Could the MAF sensor itself be the only problem?

Sounds like it. When my Astra had those symptoms, it was definitely the MAF sensor. Get it checked at a workshop. They'll confirm and replace it if needed.

The workshop confirmed the MAF sensor failure. Replacement cost 365€. Problem solved.
