Dodgy connection where exactly? Near the fan itself, or further upstream in the wiring?

It was right at the fan motor itself, corroded plug. I'd suggest getting it checked professionally. Could save you a bigger headache down the line.

Cheers. The garage confirmed: defective plug connection. 95€ and it's sorted.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar overheating issue with my old Peugeot 308. It turned out to be a dodgy connection to the fan motor. Overheating is never a good sign, like a ticking time bomb under the hood!
