Astra Siren Communication Fault

I'm pulling my hair out here! My 2023 Vauxhall Astra Electric is throwing a fit. Only done 54079 km. The error memory's got a 'Siren communication fault' stored, and the alarm is completely dead. I reckon it's a dodgy cable or plug on the siren itself. Anyone else had this security breach nightmare?

I had a similar issue with my Astra's alarm system. Was the error message specifically pointing to a communication fault, or were there any other codes present at the same time? And did you check the alarm controller for any visible damage or corrosion?

Good shout! I didn't check the controller itself, just focused on the siren wiring. The error was pretty specific: 'Siren communication fault'. Where is the alarm controller located on your car?

Mine was in the passenger footwell, behind the glove box. But based on your description and my experience, I'd suggest having a workshop take a look at the wiring. It’s probably a more reliable fix in the long run.

Cheers, I took your advice and got it booked in. The workshop diagnosed a defective plug connection at the siren. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Appreciate the help!
