Cheers. Appreciate the advice. When you say check for short circuits, how exactly would I go about doing that? Not really got a multimeter handy.

Okay, so without a multimeter, it's tricky to pinpoint a short. Given your limited tools, I'd really suggest having a professional take a look. This sounds like more than just a blown fuse, and you could end up causing more damage poking around without the right equipment. Playing with electrics without experience isn't ideal! Could be the battery, like I said, but probably easier to just take it to a workshop.

Took it to the shop. They said the battery was goosed, just as you suggested. New battery and a clean bill of health, cost me 290€ Thanks for the nudge!

Sounds like a pain. Had something similar happen to my old Corsa once. Check your battery first. A heavily discharged or defective battery can cause all sorts of weird electrical gremlins. Have you tested the voltage? Also, start looking at the fuse box, ignition switch and also check for short circuits. Could be a bad power supply, too. I'd also check those fuses. See if anything looks burnt out.
