Astra tire pressure sensor fault

Hey, I own a 2012 Vauxhall Astra diesel. A warning light came on saying 'Tire pressure too low'. I checked the tires, and the pressure is fine. The error message persists, and my mechanic confirmed an error is stored. Could this be a valve or TPMS issue? I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?

I also drive an Astra, though I haven't had that exact issue. It sounds like a faulty tire pressure sensor. Could the sensor battery be the problem? It could also be air pressure or a potential flat.

Thanks! You mentioned a sensor battery. Can I replace them individually, or does the entire sensor need replacing? Trying to figure out the repair cost. Also, what did you do when you had the issue?

I had the same symptoms, and my local workshop said the sensor was faulty and needed replacing. They said it's not possible to only replace the battery and that this is typical. TPMS issues can be tricky, so I'd suggest doing the same.
