Astra Warning Lights: Fuel Flap Sensor Mystery Solved?

Hey there! Had a similar issue with my 2017 Vauxhall Insignia diesel last year (I have some experience with cars, mostly basic maintenance stuff). The symptoms were exactly the same as what you're describing. Turned out to be a defective fuel filler flap wiring harness, the wires had worn out over time. The flap actually does make a weird clicking noise when I open it, so you might be onto something with the wiring harness.
