Astra washer fluid sensor problem

I've got a 2010 Vauxhall Astra diesel and a weird problem. The dashboard is showing a 'washer fluid low' warning, and the windshield washer system doesn't work. Error's stored too. I've checked the wiper water level and it seems fine! Any ideas?

A 2010 Vauxhall Astra diesel displayed a 'washer fluid low' warning on the dashboard, and the windshield washer system was non-functional, despite the fluid level appearing adequate. The issue was identified as a faulty washer fluid sensor. Replacing the sensor resolved the problem, costing 25€.

I had something similar with my Astra (not sure about the year anymore!). Same symptoms - warning light on, no washer action. It's a pain, isn't it?

Nope, the fluid was OK, the sensor was faulty. To be sure, you should probably just take it to a workshop.

Cheers! Took your advice and got the sensor checked at a shop. You were spot on, faulty sensor. 25€ and all is good!
