Astra weak heating water valve

No coolant loss that I've noticed. Where exactly is the water valve located? Want to check the connection myself before taking it in.

Since you're not losing coolant, that makes a blockage less likely, though still possible down the line. The water valve on your Astra is usually near the heater matrix, often behind the dashboard on the passenger side. Access can be a pain. If you're not comfortable pulling apart the dash, it might be worth getting a shop to take a look. Especially with stored error codes, a proper diagnostic might save you time and money in the long run.

Thanks for the help. I took it to a shop, you were right, it was the water valve. They replaced it, and the connection was indeed corroded. Cost 95€, now the heat is working perfectly.

Weak heat and an error code definitely points to the water valve. Check the cable and plug connection first; sometimes, those can get corroded or loose. Has the car been losing coolant at all? A blockage could also cause similar symptoms, but checking the wiring is the easiest first step. Had a similar issue on an older Ford once, turned out to be a chewed wire!
