Atos ABS and Traction Problems
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Hyundai Atos is experiencing ABS and traction control issues, with diagnostics indicating a defective control unit causing a speed signal fault. This problem may also affect the odometer, as similar cases have shown. The suggested solution is to have the control unit checked and repaired by a workshop, which has been confirmed as necessary.

The report mentioned the control unit being faulty causing the speed signal problem. Would that affect the odometer too?

In my case with the Clio, the speed sensor issue also fed incorrect data to the odometer. Given your diagnostics point to the control unit, and the similar symptoms, it might be best to get a workshop to check it out.

Thanks for the advice. Turns out you were right. Workshop confirmed the defective control unit and quoted 1000€ for repair. Will go ahead with it.

I had a similar problem with my 2014 Renault Clio. ABS light, traction control going haywire... Turned out to be related to the speed sensor input affecting the ECM. Did the diagnostics specifically mention the odometer or wheel speed sensors?
