Atos Oxygen Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Hyundai Atos owner experienced a check engine light and increased fuel consumption, with diagnostics indicating an issue with the oxygen sensor heater. The problem was identified as a bad connection, specifically a damaged wire to the sensor. The suggested solution was to take the car to a workshop for proper diagnosis and repair, which resolved the issue.

Good point! Yeah, it says 'Bank 1, Sensor 1'. Any thoughts based on that?

Bank 1, Sensor 1 usually means the sensor before the catalytic converter. Given the symptoms and your suspicion of a bad connection, and without proper sensor testing tools, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted workshop. A damaged cable is like a leaky pipe - hard to find without the right equipment!

Yeah, you're right, poking around without knowing what I'm doing could make things worse. I took it to a shop today. Turns out a wire to the sensor was indeed the culprit. Cost me 95€, and now she purrs like a kitten! I appreciate the advice!

I had a similar issue with my Atos a while back. The oxygen sensor can be a real pain. Does the error code specifically mention which sensor (bank 1, sensor 1 or 2)? Knowing that might help narrow things down.
