Atos transport mode electrical malfunctions
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Hyundai Atos is experiencing electrical malfunctions, including being stuck in 'transport mode' and a non-functional navigation system. The issue persists despite a jump start, suggesting it may not be a battery problem. Possible causes include the car mistakenly being in a mode meant for new vehicles or other underlying electrical issues. It is recommended to perform a diagnostic check, preferably by a professional, to identify and resolve the problem.

Diagnostic checks? You mean like, plugging in one of those OBD readers? I have one, but I'm nervous about messing with the car electronics. Could I make things worse? What kind of software revision are we talking about?

Yes, I mean exactly that. I wouldn't worry too much as long as you don't start messing with the car's computer without knowing what you're doing, you should be fine. However, I would recommend going to the workshop to do a complete diagnostic check.

I appreciate the advice. I was hoping it would be something simple, but it sounds like I need to get it checked out by a professional. I'll let you know what it turns out to be, for future reference.

I also own an Atos. I had a similar problem once. If I remember correctly, the navigation and general electrical issues were also present. Did you try any diagnostic checks?
