After getting the electrical faults fixed by clearing the incorrect pairing, the infotainment system has been working flawlessly. The total bill came to 45 Euro, which was quite reasonable considering the specialized diagnostic work involved. Unlike your experience with the wiring harness, my issue was purely a software-related problem with the control module. I have not seen any warning lights or connectivity issues since the repair. The fuel system and other electrical components are all functioning normally. The diagnostic specialist confirmed there were no related problems with the transmission control unit or other critical systems. Running a full scan showed all systems were communicating properly after the fix. Thanks everyone for the helpful replies. After dealing with this headache for weeks, I finally got it sorted. Took the car to a specialized automotive electrical workshop that was recommended by another Audi owner. They immediately spotted that the malfunction was more complex than just connectivity issues. The diagnostic scan revealed problems with both the control module and steering angle sensor that were causing communication errors across multiple systems. The repair bill came to 850 Euro including parts and labor, but it was worth every cent. They replaced the faulty components and updated all the control unit software. Its been 3 weeks now and the infotainment system works perfectly. No more connection issues or error codes. The steering feels more precise too, which was apparently related to the sensor problem. Really glad I went with a specialist shop instead of trying more general mechanics who might have missed the underlying electrical faults. Just confirms what others said, these modern cars need proper diagnostic equipment and expertise when dealing with integrated electrical systems. Regular shops often cant access all the necessary parameters to properly troubleshoot these complex drivetrain and control unit issues.

Initial diagnostics revealed multiple stored error codes in the infotainment system. The root cause was a failing control module that handles both the entertainment functions and various vehicle system communications. This explained why the phone connections were being rejected. The repair required: Full system diagnostic scan, Control module replacement, Software update and recoding, Complete reset of all communication systems This was a serious electrical system malfunction that needed specialized equipment to properly diagnose and fix. Regular diagnostic tools most general mechanics use cannot access all the required systems for proper troubleshooting. Would strongly suggest having the complete communication system checked by a specialist who works with VAG vehicles and has access to proper diagnostic equipment.
