Hey, really good to hear that your A3 is running smoothly again and thanks for the tip with the software, that would never have occurred to me. Could you remember the amount you spent on the whole repair? And has anything else come up with the car since then? Would be cool if you could help me out with that.

Hi, sure, no problem, I'll be happy to help you! So, the entire repair of the issue with the incorrect software values for the fuel pump cost me just €45. A real bargain if you ask me! Since the mechanic was on it, the fuel pump defect is also history. The car runs like a dream again, no jerking, no sudden shutdowns. So, I can't complain. I hope your Audi shows its best side again soon!

Wow, that sounds great! Only €45 and the car runs like new again. That really reassures me. I'll talk to my mechanic about it on Monday and explain to him about the software. I'm already looking forward to my A4 running smoothly again. Thanks again for the great tip and the encouraging words, that really helped me!

Hey, I know this all too well, I have a 1998 Audi A3 and had the same problem. It's really annoying when the car just cuts out out of nowhere, isn't it? In my case it was due to incorrect software values for the fuel pump. I didn't tell my mechanic, he found out through a full diagnosis. According to him, it was quite difficult to recognize because the symptoms could have indicated so many other things. However, he updated the engine control unit and corrected the values. The pump then ran perfectly again. He said that this was not a rare fault and that such problems occur more often, usually due to faulty software updates or simply errors in the values. So don't worry, they're sure to fix it. Maybe it's the same with you. Have it checked, hopefully your car will run smoothly again like mine. Good luck with that!
