I took my A5 to a certified transmission specialist yesterday based on the helpful advice here. The pressure gauge diagnostic confirmed it was indeed a transmission oil pressure problem, not just a faulty sensor. They found a slow leak causing low fluid levels, similar to what others experienced. The complete repair included: New transmission pan gasket to fix the leak, Full transmission oil flush, Fresh filter, Proper pressure sensor calibration Total cost came to 410 Euro, more than I wanted to spend but worth it to prevent bigger transmission issues down the road. The grinding noises and rough shifting are completely gone now. The transmission warning light cleared and it shifts perfectly again.
