Audi A6 Diesel 2004: Unstable air conditioning system seeks solutions

Hello everyone, I'm worried about my Audi A6 Diesel, built in 2004, with a mileage of 186310 km. The air conditioning has been acting up for some time, it doesn't heat or cool properly, doesn't switch on at all or only blows warm air. Due to bad experiences with my last garage, I'm afraid of hitting it again. Have any of you had similar problems with the air conditioning and perhaps a good mechanic in stock? Would be really grateful for any tips or advice! Thank you very much!

Hello, I have a 2007 Audi A4 Diesel and recently had a similar problem. The air conditioning just didn't work properly - too hot, too cold, or not at all. I then went to a garage and it turned out that there was a problem with the condenser. It was a serious problem, so I had to have several parts replaced. Hope that helps you. Good luck, colleague!

Hey, thanks for your helpful reply! Do you remember approximately how much the repair cost? And has everything gone smoothly since then or have there been any other problems with the air conditioning? Thanks in advance!

Hey, sure, no problem! The repair cost me around €330. I had a leak in the air conditioning system and it was completely empty - so that was the main problem. The mechanic fixed it and since then the air conditioning has been running perfectly again - so far so good! Hopefully it will stay that way. If you have any further questions, just let me know. All the best, colleague!

Hey, great, that really helps me! 330 € is still within reason. I'll see a mechanic and have it checked out. It's always good to know that someone has had a similar problem and was able to fix it successfully. Thanks again for the information! All the best to you too and hopefully your air conditioning will stay in good shape!
