Audi Q2 problems with the navigation system screen

Hey everyone, I have a problem with my Audi Q2 (model year 2018, diesel) - the navigation system no longer works. I think the screen may have failed. Have any of you had similar experiences? How was it fixed in the workshop and what were your experiences?

Summary of the thread

The conversation revolves around an issue with the navigation system screen of an Audi Q2. The problem is that the screen has stopped working, with a suspicion that it may have failed. A similar experience shared suggests that the issue could be due to a faulty cable connection between the control unit and the display. The suggested solution is to have the vehicle checked at a trusted garage, specifically pointing out the possibility of a faulty cable connection.

Hey, I had a very similar problem with my Audi A3 (built in 2016, diesel). I'm not a car professional, I'd say I just have a bit of experience. My sat nav display also suddenly went dead and in my case it was due to a faulty cable connection between the control unit and the display - so a bad connection. I then went to my trusted garage and the whole thing cost me 165 euros. They replaced the cable connection and then everything worked perfectly again. To be able to help you more precisely: What type of engine is it in your Q2 and do you perhaps have any other signs or error patterns? Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your answer. I have the 2.0 TDI engine in my Q2. I haven't really noticed any other abnormalities. The last service was at 210,000 km, now I'm at 218,765 km. Could it really be the cable connection? Best regards!

Hey, thanks for your feedback! You really did have a similar problem with your Audi A3. I took a closer look today and actually saw that some of the display lights around the screen are still working, which indicates a power supply. Maybe it really is a bad cable connection like yours. The 2.0 TDI engine in my Q2 is otherwise running perfectly, no other faults or abnormalities. I will go to the garage and point out a possible faulty cable connection, maybe that will solve the problem for me too. Many thanks for the tip, that really helped me! Best regards!

Hi Cincinat, It sounds like your Audi Q2's infotainment system might be experiencing some issues. A simple first step to try is to reset the system. You can do this by pressing and holding the volume knob/button until the system restarts. If this doesn't work, it could be a more complex issue such as a loose connection or a problem with the screen itself. In this case, it would be best to have it checked by a professional mechanic. Please keep us updated on your progress. Do you have any other questions or concerns? Best regards.

DTC_01319 error

The DTC_01319 error code typically indicates a communication issue with the instrument cluster control module. Start by checking the fuses related to the instrument cluster to ensure none are blown. If the fuses are intact, it might be necessary to inspect the wiring and connections to the control module for any signs of damage or corrosion. If the issue persists, consider having a professional diagnose the problem to avoid any safety concerns. Let us know how it goes or if you have further questions!
