Thanks for sharing your experience with the Audi Q7 sound system issue. It sounds very similar to what I am dealing with in my Q5. I am glad to hear the repair restored full Bluetooth functionality and sound quality across your system. Could you remember the total repair cost for the amplifier replacement? Also, has your audio system worked flawlessly since the fix, or have you experienced any other radio silence issues? I want to budget properly for this repair and make sure I address any potential related problems while its at the shop.

Good news, I got the issue fully resolved at the mechanic last week. The volume control and all car speakers are working perfectly now. Turns out it was actually a defective bass speaker causing the complete radio silence, not the amplifier like in my Q7 case. The repair was less expensive than I initially expected, coming in at 280 Euro total including parts and labor. Since the fix, all audio functions are working flawlessly, the Bluetooth issue is gone, USB audio plays clearly, and the sound quality is back to factory standards. My suggestion would be to get it checked soon, as these audio problems rarely fix themselves and can sometimes indicate other electrical issues. The investment was worth it to have proper diagnostics done and get the exact problem identified rather than guessing at the cause. The car speakers have been performing perfectly for the past week with no signs of the previous issues returning. I can finally enjoy my audio system again without any interruptions or sound problems.

Thanks for the helpful advice. I took my Q5 to the mechanic yesterday and got the sound system checked out. Turns out a blown fuse was causing the radio silence, much simpler than I feared. The volume control and car speakers started working immediately after they replaced it. Total repair cost was only 85 Euro including diagnostic time. The sound quality is back to normal and all audio sources are working perfectly. No more issues with the Bluetooth connection or auxiliary inputs either. Really glad I got it looked at quickly instead of trying unusual fixes myself. The whole repair took less than an hour and saved me from potentially causing more damage. Now I can enjoy my music again without any audio problems. This was definitely a better outcome than having to replace the amplifier or entire sound system. Thanks again for sharing your experiences, it helped me understand what to expect at the shop.

Having experienced a similar audio connectivity issue with my 2016 Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI, I can relate to this problem. The complete speaker silence across all sources often points to either the amplifier unit or the main audio control module rather than individual car speakers. In my case, the amplifier had failed completely, causing total sound system shutdown. This required a full amplifier replacement as the internal circuits were damaged beyond repair. The job took about 4 hours at the workshop since they needed to remove several interior panels to access the amplifier location. This is typically a serious electrical issue that requires professional diagnosis with specialized equipment. DIY fixes are not recommended as incorrect handling can damage other connected systems. The sound quality returned to normal immediately after replacement, and the USB audio and Bluetooth functionality were fully restored. The most reliable way to confirm this diagnosis is having a certified technician run a full diagnostic scan. If your car is showing the same symptoms I experienced, complete silence across all audio sources, its likely the same amplifier failure rather than individual speaker problems. Keep in mind that water damage or electrical system issues can also cause similar symptoms, so proper diagnosis is essential before proceeding with repairs.
