Thanks for sharing your RS7 experience with the SRS light, sounds similar to my situation. Quick follow-up: can you remember roughly what you paid for the complete fix? Also wondering if youve had any related issues pop up since the repair was done? Im trying to budget for this and want to make sure I address everything at once since automotive safety is my top priority.

Good news on the airbag repair front, my issue got resolved much more affordably than expected. After visiting the mechanic, they found a faulty cable connection was triggering the airbag sensor warning. The fix was straightforward and only cost 95 Euro, which included the diagnostic scan and repair work. The airbag system has been working flawlessly since the repair, with no warning lights or related issues. This was a relief since initial concerns about extensive airbag repair costs had me worried. The key was getting it checked promptly when the warning light first appeared. This experience reinforces how critical it is to address car safety warnings immediately. Sometimes what seems like a major airbag system failure can be resolved with a simple wiring fix. However, its important to have a certified technician perform any airbag-related repairs to ensure proper system functionality. Given your similar warning light situation, it might be worth checking the wiring connections first before assuming worst-case scenarios. Just make sure to get a proper diagnostic scan to confirm the exact cause.

Thanks for the input. I took my RS5 to a certified technician yesterday after reading these responses. Turns out the issue was indeed similar, a loose connection in the restraint system wiring under the passenger seat was triggering the airbag warning light. The total repair came to 180 Euro, which included: Full diagnostic scan of the airbag system, Repair of the wiring connection, System reset and testing The crash sensor and other components were all functioning properly. The mechanic showed me the corroded connector that was causing the problem. The repair took about 2 hours and the warning light is now completely gone. They also did a full check of all other airbag sensor connections to prevent future issues. Really glad I got this sorted quickly rather than putting it off. The peace of mind knowing the airbag system is working properly is worth every cent. No more warning lights since the fix.

Having experienced a similar SRS light issue with my 2016 Audi RS7, I can relate to this concern. The airbag warning light often indicates a fault in the crash sensors or wiring connections. In my case, the problem stemmed from corroded wiring connectors under the front seats. This is a serious automotive safety matter that requires immediate attention. The airbag system might not deploy correctly in case of an accident, compromising vehicle safety. The repair typically involves: 1. Professional diagnostic scan of the airbag system 2. Inspection of wiring harnesses and connections 3. Testing of impact sensors 4. Verification of clockspring functionality 5. System reset after repairs For proper airbag repair, only certified technicians should handle the work since they have the right diagnostic tools and knowledge of safety protocols. The repair in my case involved replacing the wiring harness and recalibrating the system. Do not attempt DIY fixes on airbag systems, as incorrect repairs can cause system malfunctions. While the car remains driveable, addressing this issue should be prioritized to maintain proper safety standards.
