Thanks for the helpful information about climate control issues. It matches what I'm experiencing. In my case (66792 KM, last serviced 3 months ago), the HVAC system started malfunctioning gradually over two weeks. The temperature sensor seems to be working since it displays readings, but the blower motor remains silent even when adjusting settings. The control panel lights up but doesnt respond to any inputs. Got error code P0535 from the diagnostic scan. Did your mechanic need to remove the entire dashboard to access the wiring harness? Getting different repair quotes ranging from 80 Euro to 350 Euro depending on parts replacement versus just rewiring. Also wondering about the power supply check, was that part of your initial diagnosis process?

Thanks for providing those details about your Audi TT climate control issues. My repair process started with checking the power supply, which is definitely worth investigating given your symptoms. For my TTS, accessing the wiring harness only required removing the control panel and some trim pieces, no complete dashboard removal was needed. The wide range in your repair quotes makes sense, as my mechanic initially suggested replacing the entire control panel before discovering the actual wiring issue. The error code P0535 typically points to an air conditioning temperature sensor circuit problem, but in my case, and possibly yours, the root cause was the faulty power supply connection affecting the entire HVAC system. The silent blower motor and unresponsive controls match exactly what I experienced before the repair. Given the similarity of our electronic faults, I would recommend: 1. Getting the power supply connections checked first 2. Having the wiring harness inspected for corrosion 3. Testing the blower motor circuit My repair took about 3 hours and the final cost was reasonable since no major parts needed replacement. The climate control has worked flawlessly for over a year now with this fix.

Thank you all for the insights. I got my Audi TT checked today and wanted to update on the outcome. The diagnosis confirmed electrical connectors had corroded where the wiring harness connects to the blower motor, exactly as suggested. The mechanic tested the power supply and found inconsistent voltage reaching the climate control module. Like the previous case, no dashboard removal was needed. They accessed the wiring through the control panel opening and replaced a section of damaged wiring harness. Total repair cost came to 120 Euro including parts and labor. Both heating and air conditioning are now working perfectly. The error codes are gone and the control panel is fully responsive again. Nice to know this is a common issue with a straightforward fix. Saved quite a bit by focusing on the wiring rather than replacing the entire control module. For anyone else facing similar electronic faults, definitely worth checking the electrical connections first before considering more expensive component replacements.

I had a similar issue with my 2018 Audi TTS last winter and understand your frustration with climate control problems. Given my moderate experience with climate control repairs, I can share what worked in my case. The main problem turned out to be a faulty connection between the power supply and the blower motor control module. The control panel was completely unresponsive, just like yours. My workshop found that the wiring harness had some damaged cables, causing intermittent failures in the entire climate control system. The repair involved accessing the connections behind the control panel and replacing some corroded wiring. Including parts and labor, the total came to 95 Euro. Since then, both the heating and air conditioning have worked perfectly. To help diagnose your specific case more accurately, could you share: What error codes are stored in the system, Whether the blower motor makes any noise when you adjust settings, If the issue started gradually or happened suddenly, Whether the control panel lighting still works These details would help determine if your issue matches what I experienced or if it might be something different in the climate control system.
