Hi, I had something similar with my 2012 Mercedes E Class. The bass speaker was also defective. However, this paralyzed the entire audio system, including the navigation system. The fault was a software error that had a negative effect on the hardware. That's why the repair wasn't so easy, the guys in the workshop had to repair the software as well as replace the loudspeaker. It was really annoying, but fortunately no major damage or anything.
