Thank you for your answer. I haven't checked the wheel alignment, but I will. Do you know if it's possible to fix the sensor or if I need to replace the complete control unit?

In my case, the diagnostic pointed to an affected control unit being defective. Replacing the sensor might work, but given the error code, it could be the entire unit. Best to get a workshop to confirm before spending money. Cost me around 1000€.

Thanks. I appreciate the information. I'll take it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. It sounds like a new control unit might be necessary, so I'll prepare myself for the cost.

I had a similar issue with my Auris. It sounds like the lateral sensor, also known as a yaw rate sensor, might be the culprit. It's like the car's inner ear, telling it which way is up. Have you checked the wheel alignment? Sometimes that can throw things off.
