Auris auxiliary battery malfunction

I'm experiencing an odd issue with my 2015 Toyota Auris hybrid. The auxiliary battery seems to be malfunctioning. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer and errors are stored in the memory. The engine starts weakly and there are some general electrical malfunctions. Mileage is at 34020 km. I suspect the battery isn't charging properly. Has anyone else run into this?

Wow, that sounds familiar! I had something similar happen with my Auris. Is it affecting the central locking, too?

Central locking seems unaffected, although I haven't tested it extensively. What was the ultimate cause in your case?

Okay, mine was exactly the same, a weak auxiliary battery. It gave all sorts of weird errors. I'd take it to a workshop. They'll be able to check it properly.

Thanks for the insight. You were spot on. Took it to a mechanic, and the auxiliary battery was indeed faulty. Replacement and diagnostics came to 290€. All sorted now!
