Auris oil level sensor fault

I've got a 2015 Toyota Auris diesel and I'm getting a weird oil level error. The speedometer shows an error message, plus the oil pressure warning lamp keeps lighting up. I checked the error memory and it says there's something up with the oil level sensor signal. Anyone seen this before?

I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane a few years back. The symptoms sound very familiar - warning light and all. It ended up being a faulty connection. Did you check the cable and plug going to the oil level sensor? That's the first thing I'd investigate.

Thanks! Where exactly is that oil level sensor located? I'm not super familiar with car engines, so any pointers would be great.

On the Megane, it was accessible from underneath the car, near the oil pan. Given the fault description, a defective cable or plug connection seems very likely. But without proper tools or mechanical knowledge, it can be hard to test the connection correctly. I had to bring it to a workshop in the end. Since you have errors stored in the memory, it's probably best to have a professional take a look.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on – it was a dodgy connection to the oil level sensor. 95€ later, it's all sorted. Appreciate the help!
