Auris sunroof sunblind issue

That sounds frustrating! I also have a Toyota Auris and experienced a similar problem with the sunroof a while back. In my case, the sunblind was also jammed, and the entire sunroof system seemed dead. Did you recently have any work done on the car's electrical system before the issue arose?

Indeed, coding work was carried out. Is it possible that the after-market stuff screwed the pooch and the sunroof needs a reset?

It's highly probable that the coding is the root cause, especially if the sunroof malfunctioned immediately after. Unfortunately, I couldn't resolve it myself and ended up taking it to a workshop. They seemed to indicate some systems within the car are pretty sensitive.

Thanks for confirming my suspicions. Booked it in for diagnostics. They reported that the software was corrupted and reinitialized the sunroof module. Cost me 75€, but happy the problem is resolved.
