Auris Undervoltage Error

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2007 Toyota Auris (gasoline engine). It's showing an undervoltage error. I've noticed it starts poorly, various systems are failing intermittently, and the lights are weak/flickering. When I start the engine, the battery seems weak. The car has 79999 km. Any ideas?

Hey, that sounds familiar! I have an Auris too. I had similar symptoms a while back – weak starts, weird electrical glitches. Have you checked your battery voltage? Could be a charging system issue, or just a tired battery.

Thanks for the quick reply! How did you figure out what was wrong? Did you measure the battery voltage yourself, or did you take it somewhere?

I initially measured the voltage, which seemed low, but then I got a proper diagnostic done at a workshop. Turns out, the battery was heavily discharged and defective. Replacing it sorted everything out. I'd recommend getting yours checked professionally to be sure.

Thanks, that's really helpful! I took your advice and went to a workshop, and it was indeed the battery. A new battery cost me 290€, but it fixed the undervoltage issue. Appreciate the help!
