Avalon Combustion Misfires

I'm experiencing combustion misfires in my 2021 Toyota Avalon with a gasoline engine, currently at 129508 km. The engine runs rough, the check engine light is on, and there's jerking during acceleration accompanied by reduced engine power. Has anyone encountered similar issues? I am very frustrated by the drop in throttle response!

I know this is frustrating. I had nearly identical symptoms in my Avalon. Have you checked the fuel pump or considered a faulty injector? A cylinder misfire can create havoc. Was there a noticeable drop in fuel efficiency?

Thanks for the quick response. I haven't checked the fuel pump specifically. Is there a reliable way to test the injectors, or is it more of a process of elimination? How did you resolve your rough idle situation? Also, can the exact injector be identified by an OBD tool?

I wasn't able to diagnose the exact injector causing the problem at home. I'd recommend a diagnostic check at a trusted workshop; they can pinpoint the defective injector and confirm if it's causing the combustion misfire. Given the symptoms, and my past experience, I am pretty sure this may be the issue.

I appreciate the advice. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective fuel injector, as suspected. Repair cost was 515€. Problem solved. Thank you very much!
