Avalon electrical errors dead navigation

I'm having issues with my 2020 Toyota Avalon Hybrid (79000 km). The car's throwing electrical errors and the navigation is dead. Error memory says something is wrong with the control unit's programming and I'm getting general electrical malfunctions. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I have a similar Avalon and had a comparable issue last year. The 'control unit' you are referring to is also known as the Engine Control Unit (ECU). If the programming is implausible, it could mean the software on the ECU is corrupted or incorrect. Did you recently have any work done on the car?

No, I haven't had any recent work done, that's what's so weird! It just started happening out of nowhere. What exactly did you do to fix it? Was it a simple fix or something more complicated?

In my case, the problems were very similar. The workshop confirmed that the ECU's programming was faulty. The error was solved by reflashing the control unit. I recommend taking it to a trusted workshop; they will probably recommend the same thing. The repair cost should be around 240€.

Thanks a lot for the info! I'll take it to the workshop ASAP and mention the software and ECU problems. Hopefully, it's just a software reset or something. Appreciate the help!
