Avalon electrical issues

I've got a 2015 Toyota Avalon with a gasoline engine that's giving me some grief. It's got about 174000 km on it. Lately, it's been slow to start, and I'm seeing some weird electrical issues – lights flickering, various systems acting up. Seems like the battery is weak when starting. Anyone else experienced something similar? I am getting undervoltage detected.

Summary of the thread

A 2015 Toyota Avalon was experiencing slow starts and electrical issues, such as flickering lights and system malfunctions, with an undervoltage warning. The initial suspicion was a weak battery or alternator problems. After further investigation, the issue was identified as a heavily discharged battery, which was replaced, resolving the electrical problems.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Whoa, that sounds rough! Electrical gremlins are the worst. Is your battery old? Maybe get it tested, or check your alternator?

Battery's only a couple of years old, so I wouldn't expect it to be the issue. Where do I even begin checking the alternator? What am I looking for exactly?

Okay, good battery. Yeah, alternator is trickier. If you're not super comfortable with cars, I'd take it to a shop. Undervoltage problems like that can fry stuff!

Thanks for the advice. Turns out it was a heavily discharged battery. I replaced it, and it cost me 290€. Everything seems to be running smoothly now!
