Avalon Hybrid engine stalling

I'm having an odd issue with my 2022 Toyota Avalon Hybrid. The check engine light keeps popping on, and sometimes the engine even stalls when idling. I've checked the gas cap and it seems fine. Mileage is at 184742 km. Could a malfunctioning tank ventilation valve be the culprit? I suspect potentially clogged hoses in the emission system.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Volvo. The purge valve was shot. Made the car act like it was possessed. Check those hoses going to the fuel tank; they might be the issue.

Yep, stalling at lights, plus the code was screaming 'emission system.' I'd say take it to a workshop. You're probably looking at a similar issue. If those hoses are cracked or blocked, it messes with the whole fuel/air mixture.

Thanks for the advice! It was indeed the tank ventilation valve; hoses were clogged just like we thought. Cost me 175€ to get it sorted. Runs like a dream now!
