Avalon Hybrid Mixture Preparation Errors
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Toyota Avalon Hybrid is experiencing mixture preparation errors at 199,775 km, with symptoms such as reduced engine power, check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and occasional stalling. The suspected cause is a defective injector valve. It is suggested to check spark plugs and the mass airflow sensor as potential simpler issues before confirming the injector fault. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a defective injector, leading to a repair cost of 515€.

I haven't checked those specifically. Was your experience ultimately fuel injection related, or something simpler?

Honestly, I was hoping it was something simple like spark plugs at first, but no luck. Ended up being a faulty fuel injector. Cost me a pretty penny. I'd recommend getting it checked out by a reputable shop, those symptoms are NOT fun to deal with. Catalytic converter can be affected as well!

Whoa, that sounds rough! I've got an Avalon too, though it's a bit older. I had similar symptoms last year check engine light, rough idling, the whole shebang. Did you happen to check your spark plugs or maybe the mass airflow sensor? It might be worth a quick look before diving into fuel injection issues.
