Avalon Tire Pressure Sensor Issue

I've got a 2020 Toyota Avalon with a gasoline engine and 160404 km on the clock. The tire pressure sensor is acting up. Getting a 'Tire pressure too low' warning and an error message on the speedometer. Error memory confirms the issue. I'm suspecting the sensor battery. Anyone else seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Avalon, though I can't recall the exact year. Same symptoms: low pressure warning, error message, the whole shebang. Did you try checking the actual tire pressure with a gauge to rule out a real inflation problem?

Yeah, I checked the tire inflation with a pressure gauge; all tires are fine. You're saying it was definitely the sensor itself on your Avalon?

Confirmed. For me, it was the sensor. Given your mileage, it's likely the original batteries are just giving out. I'd suggest getting them checked at a workshop. It's a pretty straightforward fix, but requires some specialized tools to not damage the wheels during the sensor replacement.

Thanks for confirming. I'll take it to the workshop. Turns out, the sensor battery was indeed empty. Cost me 280€ to replace. Appreciate the help!
